The Equador Squad qualified for the Global Competition 2022 in Qatar and will be playing against their hosts Qatar at the opening ceremony on Sunday the 20th November at 19:00.

Global Competition 2022 – standing tradition
The Bureau of the football organisation Council brought the opening Global Competition 2022 match and ceremony forward a day following a unanimous decision.
The decision will give cause for greater celebration for the host country Qatar. It is also a long standing tradition involving hosts or reigning champions to open the match.
The Equador Squad will be staying at the luxury 5 star Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha Hotel for the Global Competition 2022.
The team will want for nothing, the Hotel have amazing facilities to help them relax and unwind. The hotel has a fitness center, the Club Olympus Spa & Fitness featuring gym, with cardio and weight machines, sauna, hot tub and steam bath.

A variety of massage treatments with experienced therapists.

Where is the Squad training?
The Equador Squad will be training at the Mesaimeer SC Training Facilities. Whose football dept. plays in the 2nd Qatari Division.
What is their ranking?
The Equador Squad, according to the football organisation rankings is the 12th best team in the world, as well as the sixth best South American team.
Their head coach and manager is former Argentina footballer Gustavo Alfaro.
