After speculation arose about a possible confrontation between billionaires Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, several combat sports personalities offered to train the businessmen for this potential fight.
On Tuesday (27th), one of the parties involved in the potential duel accepted one of these proposals for the first time. Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, agreed to train alongside MMA legend Georges St-Pierre.
Like other well-known names such as Jon Jones, Charles Do Bronx, and Royce Gracie, Georges St-Pierre used his social media to comment on the rivalry between magnates Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk.
As a former two-weight class champion in the UFC, the Canadian fighter took a side in the rivalry and offered his services to train Elon Musk. Three days later, Musk responded positively to the proposal.
“Elon Musk, I’m a big fan of yours, and it would be an absolute honor to help you and be your training partner for the challenge against Zuckerberg,” wrote St-Pierre, receiving a brief response from the entrepreneur: “Ok, let’s do it.”
Although there is no clear indication that the confrontation will become a reality, betting houses are already including the potential fight on their lists. Zuckerberg, who is an enthusiast of combat sports and practices jiu-jitsu, is favored, while Elon Musk, who apparently has no familiarity with martial arts, is considered the challenger.
