The months of provocation between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis culminated in a disappointing boxing match in Manchester, England, marked by illegal moves, disqualification, and nearly a mass brawl. Danis, known for his fiery style in MMA, abused forbidden blows. In the final round, he attempted to submit Logan Paul with a guillotine, a jiu-jitsu technique, causing almost a general commotion. Quick intervention by security prevented a larger confrontation, but Danis was ultimately disqualified.
A large number of security personnel kept the two fighters separated, while Jake Paul, Logan’s brother, attempted to confront Danis but had difficulty reaching him. Eventually, the situation calmed down, and the fight ended with Logan Paul’s victory.
After the bout, Logan Paul expressed his displeasure on social media, calling Danis a clown and stating that he was happy to have defeated him in six rounds. Hours later, he expanded on his criticism of Danis’ behavior during the fight.
Logan Paul had not competed in boxing since 2021, and his only professional fight was in 2019 against KSI, in which he was defeated. Meanwhile, Danis made his boxing debut, following in the footsteps of Conor McGregor. In MMA, his last fight was in 2019 due to injuries that affected his career.
In the fight itself, Danis failed to live up to his earlier taunts. His strategy was clear: to maintain a closed guard and attack only occasionally, mainly on the counter. Although he managed to land some punches, he was far from winning the match. Additionally, he stood out for his unconventional behavior, even challenging Logan to a jiu-jitsu match in the ring, which is prohibited in boxing. In the final round, he attempted a takedown and subsequently a guillotine, leading to his disqualification. Logan Paul, on the other hand, kept the pressure on, although his difficulty in landing blows on Danis was due to the opponent’s tight guard. The fight concluded with Logan Paul’s victory.
