In a match corresponding to the third round of the Europa League group stage, Liverpool secured their unbeaten streak in the competition by thrashing Toulouse on Thursday. Playing at their home stadium and under the leadership of Jürgen Klopp, the team dominated the game and won 5-1. The goals for the English side were scored by Diogo Jota, Endo, Darwin Núñez, Gravenberch, and Salah, while Dallinga scored one for the French.
With this victory, Liverpool leads Group E with nine points, while Toulouse has four. Lask Linz secured a victory over Union Saint-Gilloise and climbed to the third position in the standings.
The fourth goal for Liverpool was quite unique. Darwin Núñez was launched, dribbled past the defender, and skillfully passed the goalkeeper. However, when he was about to finish into the empty net, he hit the crossbar. In that moment of frustration, Gravenberh capitalized on the rebound and pushed the ball into the back of the net.
The next round is scheduled for November 9, with the teams facing each other again, this time in France. Additionally, on the upcoming Sunday, both teams will play matches in their respective domestic leagues, with Liverpool hosting Nottingham Forest and Toulouse visiting Montpellier.
