by | Nov 2, 2023 | Football

The UEFA has announced the dates and location of two matches for the Israeli national team in the Euro 2024 qualifiers. The matches against Switzerland and Romania are scheduled for November 15 and November 18, respectively, and will take place at the Pancho Arena stadium in the city of Felcsut, Hungary.

Due to the recent Hamas terrorist attack in Israel and the military response by the government of Benjamin Netanyahu, UEFA has postponed the match between the Israeli national team and Kosovo, which will now take place on November 12 at the Fadil Vokrri stadium in Prishtina.

Israel’s last commitment in the Euro 2024 qualifiers is scheduled for November 21 against Andorra, in an away game.

UEFA has also stated that it will not hold games within Israel as long as the violence continues, reinforcing a previous warning. Meanwhile, the Israeli national team will play its games in Hungary with the presence of the public.

Currently, Israel has played six games and occupies the third position in Group I of the Euro qualifiers with 11 points, five points behind the leader Romania, which has 15 points.
