With this win against PSG, their first in the competition, Milan reached five points and now occupies the third position in the Group F table of the Champions League. This caused Newcastle, who led the group after the second round, to now be in last place with four points. The English team suffered two consecutive defeats to Borussia Dortmund, who leads the group with seven points. PSG is in second place with six points.
